Voices Wake Us (Collected Works)

Since emerging from London’s experimental punk underground in 2025, Millpool have rapidly established themselves as one of the capital’s most vital new heavy acts, earning early support from BBC 6 Music’s Huey Morgan and Deb Grant, alongside John Kennedy at Radio X, who described the band as “excellent” and “stunning.” Additional coverage has come from Resident Advisor, Bandcamp, Earmilk, Idioteq and Thoughts Words Action, while the band has also received international radio support across the UK and US. Known for intense live performances and appearances alongside Incaseyouleave, Sans Froid, Lower Slaughter, TV Cult and Higher Walls, the quartet have quickly built a reputation for blending post-hardcore intensity with improvisation, jazz textures and no wave-inspired rhythmic experimentation.  

“Voices Wake Us (Collected Works)” is a limited edition 12” vinyl release compiling Millpool’s first two EPs — One Last Midnight and Proof Of Life — for the first time. Recorded with Misha Hering (High Vis, Idles, Powerplant) at Holy Mountain Studios, the collection captures the raw physicality and dynamic live energy at the core of the band’s sound, moving fluidly between angular post-hardcoe, freeform improvisation, spoken word and expansive instrumental passages. Drawing influence from Fugazi, No Wave and contemporary experimental jazz, the release documents Millpool’s rapid artistic development while positioning them as one of the UK underground’s most distinctive and uncompromising new voices.
