Sounds the Colour of Grounds is the sophomore album by Three-Layer Cake via Otherly Love Records. This avant-garde trio comprises bassist Mike Watt (formerly of Minutemen and fIREHOSE), drummer Mike Pride, and guitarist/banjoist Brandon Seabrook. Following their 2021 debut Stove Top, which was created remotely during the pandemic, the band continues to explore genre-defying territories, blending elements of punk, jazz, and experimental rock.
