Released in 1984, Bobby Boris Pickett’s “Monster Rap,” is the follow up to his Halloween classic “Monster Mash” from 1962. The track blends the popular disco and funk sounds of the late 70s while incorporating the growing popularity of rap and hip-hop and remains a quirky addition to Picketts spooky legacy. The b-side features Edgar Winters Frankenstein, which blends elements of progressive rock, blues, and jazz fusion, creating a dramatic and otherworldly sound. This 7” picture disc comes on a Frankenstein shaped head.
