Heavy New lp from The Bay Area's Roughneck Jihad and Canada's Senz Beats! This is their 3rd full-length collaboration, after The Little Assassination Handbook (2021) and Lobespierre (2023).
Jihad is a west coast underground MC currently based in LA but originally from the Bay Area of Northern California. He released his first 12ā with the group Third Sight in 1996 followed by a debut LP in 98. He went on to release 5 LPs with Third Sight. In 2010 he went solo releasing his first solo LP E Pluribus Urine on his own record label Disgruntled Sound Recordings. Since then he has released projects at a rapid pace and has a discography of dozens of albums. His style focuses on intricate lyrics and wordplay turntablism and boom bap beats. A large portion of his fan base are DJs and vinyl collectors outside the US.
Originally from Brussels, living in Montreal since 2013, Senz first got busy cutting up records on a pair of technics 1200s in 1998. He then started making beats on the MPC 2000xl around 2004 and integrated Koala Sampler into his workflow late 2019. Senz has collaborated with a long list of underground heavyweights including Lex Boogie From The Bronx, Roughneck Jihad, Giovanni Marks, Marq Spekt, PremRock, ELUCID, BA Pace, Beans (Anti-Pop Consortium), John Robinson and Inviziblehandz (Scienz of Life), Buze Bros, ENEM, Dave Dub, Megabusive, Karniege, Juga-Naut, Dibia$e, Duke Westlake, Cappo, Jazz-T, Uncommon Nasa, DistantStarr, Brainorchestra.Ā
