Live! was the first live album that Status Quo released commercially. TheĀ original release in 1977 was compiled from 3 nights in Glasgow between theĀ 27th and 29th October 1976 and recorded using the Rolling Stones MobileĀ Studio.
Available for the first time on vinyl, this version of āLive In Glasgowā,Ā recorded at the Apollo in 1976, features the complete recording of the thirdĀ and final of those three nights (29th October) in its entirety. Strictly limitedĀ it comes with newly adapted cover art and presented on 2LP NightshadeĀ Purple vinyl.
The audio was mixed and mastered from newly-discovered multi trackĀ recordings (one was in a box marked Peters and Lee!) by Andy Gamble atĀ AVP Productions from the original Ā¼ master tapes and approved by FrancisĀ Rossi.
Live! is regarded as one of the classic Live albums from the seventies andĀ one of Quoās most memorable live sets. This one complete recording of oneĀ setlist from the same tour shows the band at their loud ānā furious peak,Ā with all the original 1970s lineup in full effect.
