Golden Mirrors - The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1

For the first time, Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo’s 2025 album Golden Mirrors - The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1 is available on CD with four bonus tracks not available on the vinyl edition.

The album features 15 covers of songs by Jackson C.Frank, the hauntingly brilliant but long-overlooked American songwriter of the mid-1960s. Frank’s sole album was produced by Paul Simon, and though his life and career were cut short, artists such as Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Laura Marling, Mark Lanegan and Fairport Convention were counted as fans.

Recorded in Harvey’s music room in North Melbourne and mixed by Alain Johannes between Los Angeles, Spain, and Chile, the album carries an intimate yet cinematic weight. Dark, brooding atmospheres unfold through Harvey’s unmistakable arrangements, elevated by Acevedo’s floating, expressive vocals.

Together they breathe new life into Frank’s fragile legacy, transforming his songs into something both timeless and urgently present.
