Dilworth
As a 90's baby, Jutes consistently pulls inspiration from the alt-rock bands he grew up loving, such as Nirvana, Deftones, Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins. Though for Jutes, it all started with hip-hop and R&B while living in Toronto in his late teens. After moving to LA to couch surf, Jutes signed to Capitol Records and began making trap-infused pop-punk. The newest chapter in his story has taken a more dark and cinematic tone and in a nod to his original influences, Jutes released grunge rock album Ladybug in May of 2023.
Jutesā most recent and some may say ābreakthroughā album, Sleepyhead, helped catapult him to new heights in the genre, quickly gaining traction across social media.Ā
āDilworth is an album that touches on many different elements of my life, past and present. Itās dark, passionate, devastating, angry, raunchy and hopeful. Sonically I wanted it to feel like an extension of my last album Sleepyhead. Thereās evolution as Iāve gotten more comfortable in this world Iām building but I wanted it to feel like a second chapter of the same story in a sense. I intentionally felt it was important that I cement my own sound in the heavier rock space. Pulling from such drastically different inspirations has created something unique that feels like my own.ā
