The vinyl edition features a gatefold sleeve and comes in a pink colorway. A Song To Ruin was recorded at Mighty Atom Studios and was released in September 2003. The album reached the Top 20 of the Independent Chart and received high praise from critics.
Kerrang! Editor described it as āJaw-droppingly fiery, punk-fueled noise laced with intelligence and soul...ā while The Independent called it āA quite incredible debut.ā The album earned Million Dead a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards.
